Plan Your Visit

Sundays at 11AM | Wednesdays at 7PM

Welcome

* Central Baptist Church of NYC is a place where people can meet Jesus and engage in life-giving community. Everyone is welcome! We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God’s glory. Join us for our Sunday services!
What To Expect

A typical service will last about 90 minutes. We open with good mix of contemporary gospel, mainstream Christian, and traditional music that is led by our worship team. Then there is a speaker who gives guidance from the God’s word. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.

What should I wear?

Come as you are: our church serves a community of all ages, cultures and languages. Come in what makes you comfortable: jeans, a suit, dress, sneakers, shoes, or flip flops. We want to meet you as you are.

Is there parking?

Yes, but it is limited. This is New York, after all! You can double-parking in front of the church. The best way to come to CBC, though, (like everything else in NYC) is through public transportation. Taking the 1/2/3 train to 96th Street will leave you five blocks from the church. If you take the B/C train to 96th, you will be about six blocks from the church.

What about my children?

We have a nursery which provides a safe place for infants to six- years-old. We have a security system set-up which ensures that children are safe and will only be dismissed to their parents or guardians. The nursery is staffed during our 11 AM service time. During events where our nursery is not staffed by volunteers, it is open for parents to use with their children as they need.

For youth aged 6+, we have Children's Sunday Youth Groups on the second, third and fourth Sundays of the month. (First Sunday is Communion Sunday and we love seeing families together for that celebration!) Classes are broken down by grade (K-5th and MS/HS). Our youth go to their groups after Praise and Worship music. There, our leaders provide a lesson that is relevant and age appropriate to their group. After our worship service is completed, you can pick-up your child from our chapel. Parents must sign their children in and out from Sunday school.

Everyone who works with a child has undergone local and national background checks and has been specially trained for their ministry.

Let Us Know You're Coming

Ok, I like it at CBC, but I have questions. What should I do?

If you have a question during service, please speak to any of our prayer counselors, deacons or pastors. We would be happy to answer your question then or schedule a time to get together that is more convenient. You can always call our offices during the week at (212) 724-4004 to speak with someone.
